The Indigenous Peoples Major Group (IPMG) is a unique multi-stakeholder partnership platform led by indigenous peoples based on the respect for human rights, bottom-up approach to renewable energy development, and centered on gender and community empowerment. It offers a rare opportunity for indigenous peoples, states, the private sector, human rights institutions, donors, civil society and other stakeholders to work together in one platform led by the rights-holders and protectors of mother earth in order to achieve sustainable development and combat climate change.
