ABOUT EVENT
The UNDESA Division for Sustainable Development Goals, in partnership with UN-ESCAP and UNDP-Pacific are organizing a Sustainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda) and Voluntary National Review (VNR) Capacity Building Workshop for Pacific Small Islands Developing States (PSIDS) from 24 – 27 September 2018, in Fiji.
Building on this positive political momentum and in order to explore ways to create more opportunities for meaningful engagement by all stakeholders, a Sub-Regional Capacity Development Workshop for relevant stakeholders in the Pacific Small Islands Developing States, will also be held on 28 September 2018. By organizing the stakeholders capacity building workshop back-to-back with other relevant sub-regional meetings, this activity will benefit from intergovernmental discussions as well as maximize the use of available resources, expanding the reach and diversity of participants. An initial draft concept note and agenda for the stakeholders workshop follows attached for your information.
We would like to invite interested major groups and stakeholders representatives based in Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Vanuatu, Samoa, Cook Island, Niue, Nauru, Kiribati, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Marshall Islands to register their interest in attending the week-long of sub-regional events (see calendar below) by filling up this form.
